Zara is very organised and I had more porters than other companies because they are purposeful about weight limits to observe porter rights. My guide, Tungaraza Magembe was professional, patient, strong and encourage slow steps from the beginning which helped me to complete the summit. My cook, Baraka, was nice and cooked well, and made me feel welcome everyday. Porters were all strong and efficient. The Springlands hotel has good food and comfortable rooms. Though the curtains are too large light and the room is bright at night, and noise from people waking early is something to consider on non-hiking and safari days. The pool is refreshing and staff are kind. On the first day my driver was late to fetch from the airport but all other trips were fine.

We had an incredible experience visiting the Serengeti for 2 full days, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara for a day. We were reliably picked up at the border with Kenya and assisted through the process and ultimately dropped off at Kilimanjaro Airport for an early flight. Our guide Emmanuel was brilliant and made our experience awesome. His knowledge of the Serengeti was enormous and we were fortunate enough through his skills to see the big 5, and so much more. His explanations of the animals and their habits was incredible. We could not believe how close we could get to these amazing animals, and we loved our time. We sincerely thank Emmanuel for his skills and laughs along the way. The accommodations they booked us were fantastic and enhanced our overall experience. Meet more than our expectations. I am nearly 80y and no problems doing this trip. Long drives, we are from Australia where we also have long drives to places. Our guide Hassan was wonderful and his knowledge enhanced our experience. Saw the big 5 more than once. Only 1 black rhino, Serengeti but many other animals that are free to roam. My favourite time was an afternoon in the Serengeti, away from others finding giraffe, my favourite, and other animals. Learning from Hassan how they survive. Memories never to be forgotten.

We had the most incredible 7-day safari through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We saw the Big Five multiple times and even witnessed the Great Migration in the Northern Serengeti! Our guide, Israel, was exceptional! He went above and beyond to get us the best views of the wildlife and always made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. His knowledge and passion made the experience even more special. We did a 5 day private safari encompassing Tarangire National Park and the Central/Northern Serengeti to see the Wildebeest migration. Our guide/driver, Abu, was incredibly knowlegeable and passionate about the animals and the national parks and we were lucky enough to see the Big 5 as well as two herds of wildebeest crossing the Mara River. Our safari vehicle was comfortable, clean and well maintained. Whilst I can't fault these parts of the trip I did feel that aspects of the accommodation could be improved upon as could the content/quality of the lunchboxes as well as the means of ensuring dinner was served warm. I did provide this feedback directly to my booking contact at Zara and would like to acknowledge that Mrs Ansell, Zara's owner, engaged directly with me to understand more about my concerns and how she could address for future guests. I found it incredibly heartening that the business owner found out about my feedback and is now looking to have these matters addressed......it appears she genuinely cares about her customers experience in Tanzania.

Every member of staff between the hotels, camps, drivers were all absolutely lovely, polite and great at their job. Extra credit has to be given to the tour guide I had Norah. She was the most friendly, smart and kind person I have ever met. The entire trip was life changing. Experiencing the culture, tribes, people and wildlife in their natural habitats is an experience worth all the money. Their was enough time to do everything, have food, meet people and get enough sleep each evening. All the staff at the Serengeti camp and hotels were so friendly and helpful.
